FEBS: Folk Eight B-Sides
This is the leavings of Folk VIII: 2 discs of folk music that didn't quite make it, but are still better than your average ad-libbed 4-track Top 40 radio-fare.

After the glorious sprawl of Folk 6, and the lost sessions of Folk 7, the boys tightened things up and "cut the crap" out, so to speak. 3 CDs of only hits, back to their 4-track roots, so many delicious songs! Will this be the last testament to the Folk series? Time will tell, but if it is, it's their high note!

releases/wow012/Folk_6-The_Castaway.mp3No, not Folk 10, but X. This is an EP of 13 songs about Sex, Alcohol and Violence. Things that were cut from older releases due to subject matter or just lack of space. Of course, Jeff and Steve seemed to stop caring what subject matter went where after this release.

releases/wow007/Folk_5-Tron_2.mp3Folk 4 contains a wide variety of sounds, probably the noisiest Folk release. It features the first Drum Sessions, when Steve was really bad at playing. Lots of strange tracks. The runt of the Folk litter.

Songs: 55
Released - December 1996
Jeff and Steve's first foray into making music. It all started during a "summer session" tape, when they made the "Big Rock Pure Malt Beer" song. They later tried doing folk versions of Nine Inch Nails songs, which is where they honed their skills.
